Animo Pilates is a Romana’s Pilates International pilates studio. We work with clients of all abilities and guide the next generation of trainee’s through the Romana’s Pilates Teacher Training Program. Our hope is that you finish the workout refreshed, standing tall and breathing fully with a zest for life.
Pilates Certification
Prepare thoroughly for the program. Many trainees abandon it due to inadequate physical development. The program demands significant physical exertion. To succeed, cultivate a strong mind, body and spirit. Two to four years of consistent training with Romana’s Pilates instructors will build the necessary strength. Once your Powerhouse is strong, take the entrance exam. To qualify, demonstrate all Basic and Intermediate exercises, plus select Advanced exercises, in the initial assessment. You must achieve at least 75% of the criteria for each exercise, articulate three purposes for each, specify the number of repetitions and sets, indicate spring resistance when applicable, and demonstrate proper equipment setup.
Fees
While fees are payable by stage, full payment at the start of each level is preferred.
Initial assessment: $909.27* (includes assessment, registration, administration,).
Stage 1: $1900.00* (independent study, basic seminar, oral/practical test)
Stage 2: $2200.00* (independent study, intermediate seminar, oral/practical & written test)
Stage 3: $2600.00* (independent study, advanced seminar, oral/practical & written test)

Fee Breakdown
INITIAL ASSESSMENT $300
The exam assesses your understanding of the Romana's Pilates Systems at the Basic and Intermediate levels, including select Advanced exercises.
You'll be tested on exercise order, knowledge, and purpose for each movement.
Proficiency is required on the Universal Reformer, Mat, Cadillac, Chairs and Auxilliary apparatus.
To pass, you must demonstrate:
Proper spring setup
Correct exercise order
Smooth transitions between exercises
Learning aptitude
The exam, including an interview, typically lasts 1.5 hours.
Travel may be necessary for this assessment.
REGISTRATION $309.27
Enrolls you in the Instructor Training Program.
Covers entry into the Romana’s Pilates global database and email list.
Funds go to Romana's Pilates.
ADMINISTRATION $300.00
Covers filing and management of trainee tests, paperwork and forms.
Covers manual costs (per level, upon completion)
Facilitates communication between you and other training centers.
Funds go to Animo Pilates.
INDEPENDENT STUDY $300 (Per stage)
Covers meetings, written test tutorials (lessons excluded) and instructor guidance.
Due at the start of each level.
Regular weekly lessons are strongly encouraged; high test scores correlate with consistent lessons.
An additional independent study fee applies if the program is not completed within twelve months.
SEMINARS: $1300 (Basic),$1500 (Intermediate), $1700 (Advanced)
Travel is required for seminars.
Tests may be scheduled at locations other than Evanston/Chicago or Dallas.
Seminars are held approximately 3 - 6 months apart.
You may test out of the previous stage at the next seminar.
